Overview

blueVisions assisted AW Edwards in development of detailed Contract Program for a new, purpose-built Health and Research Centre, to accommodate for cancer and blood disorder researchers, clinicians and patients, in a unique and innovative environment. The project involved the demolition of the existing Oncology building, to allow for the construction of a ten-storey concrete framed building and the refurbishment of existing portions of the adjoining Randwick Hospital buildings. The fit out of specialist treatment areas, consultation rooms, clinics and clean areas provides a publicly accessible hospital in a new era of cancer health treatment and research. Health services were previously spread across eight sites on the Randwick Hospital Campuses and have now been consolidated into one centralised main building.

Westmead Hospital Early and Enabling Works – Programming Services

Overview

The Westmead Hospital Early and Enabling Works project involved the demolition of existing hospital buildings and construction of outdoor car parks, roadways and associated services infrastructure, together with major electrical and mechanical services upgrades. blueVisions assisted AW Edwards in development of detailed Contract Program which included complex staging. This has allowed AW Edwards to monitor the progress accurately and informed the staged completion to Client. This allowed Client to plan its decanting plan smoothly.

Overview

The Gosford Hospital Mental Health Unit is a specialist care facility designed and constructed with the sole purpose of providing services to patients with Mental Health issues and provides over 30 beds in a mixture of acute and high dependency accommodation. This project was awarded the 2010 Excellence in Construction award in its category by the Master Builders Association.

Overview

The $200m project comprises of two world class major medical research facilities planned to accommodate more than 1100 research scientists and support staff. blueVisions scope of work as the clients representative comprised of construction claim analysis, defence and negotiation of settlements, identification and systematic evaluation of construction problems and their cause/effect relationship on schedule over runs, CPM schedule analyses of the impacts of delays, disruption, acceleration and loss of labour productivity, contract/entitlement analysis, direct and indirect damages assessments. Design review and site inspections were also undertaken by blueVisions.

Overview

The $350 million redevelopment of Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital campus included the construction of a new hi-tech clinical building providing over 600 beds, 22 operating theatres, neonatal intensive care unit, intensive care unit and high dependency unit as well as the $30 million Stage 2, providing a further 13,000 square metres expansion of the eastern campus. blueVisions undertook a review of the design and attended site for the site inspections.

Overview

The 21,000 square metre Albany Health Campus was built over four levels which included an Emergency Department, Inpatient and Community Mental Health Units, Cancer Centre, Surgical and Medical Inpatient Units, Pathology and Clinical Support areas. blueVisions was appointed to provide specialised planning services to assist John Holland develop a delivery strategy to achieve both the client requirements. In addition, blueVisions undertook a review of the design, attended site for the site inspections, worked closely with John Holland to develop the detailed contract program which was subsequently approved by John Holland’s clients.

Gosford and Wyong Hospitals Redevelopment

Overview

The Gosford and Wyong Hospitals Redevelopment project consisted of major redevelopment work to both hospital precincts. Scope included extensive new build and refurbishment works. A total of over 280 general and mental health beds, accident and emergency departments, ICU, HDU, medical imaging, operating theatres, allied health, kitchen and catering, birthing rooms, rehabilitation wards, and mental health facilities. blueVisions was selected to provide specialised planning and project controls services to assist the Central Coast Area Health Service and their project manager APP. blueVisions prepared the master program which consisted of the design, authority approvals, procurement, construction, commissioning, decanting and other client related activities. Undertaking design review and attending site for inspections were also part of blueVisions’ responsibility.

Overview

The Security Forces Medical Centre is a master-planned medical campus which includes a 1200 bed single-room hospital with 46 operating theatres and all the specializations required for adults and children, mental health and rehabilitation with a GFA of 500,000 sqm. The complex has a total BUA of 1.2 million sqm including extensive housing with single apartments, family apartments and doctor villas sharing a community centre, mosques and sports facilities located in a central park. Service and utility buildings with chillers, water treatment, storages, laundry etc. are part of the campus. The project is a design-build project with ABV Rock as the contractor. blueVisions assisted with the development of the baseline construction program detailed to Level 5 with resources and cost allocation.
