“Setting the platform for centralised, structured leadership in controlling portfolios, programs and projects”
Organisations are continually challenged to deliver with speed, efficiency and quality. A well-managed PMO provides the structure, functions, tools and leadership to execute with certainty and confidence.
blueVisions works closely with you to:
- Implement a PMO
- Enhance the value of an existing PMO
- Provide consultants who are able to direct or operate within your PMO.
Each PMO is unique, however effective PMOs share a common goal to return tangible business outcomes to our clients.
To ensure the PMO solution is effective, blueVisions works in partnership to understand your strategic outcomes, culture, unique project environment and current challenges. We then leverage our tools and experience to tailor a structured solution for your organisation.
Program Management provides an organisation with the capability and opportunity to manage a group of projects in a co-ordinated manner to deliver business benefits across different areas of the business which cannot be achieved delivering projects separately in a cost and time effective manner.
Project Offices provide organisations with the critical link between organisational strategy and the delivery of synergistic projects and programme.
Industry research has shown that companies without a PMO experience 74% project failure rate, as opposed to companies that implemented successful PMOs achieved:
- 20% reduction in project time
- 30 to 35% improved success rate in project delivery
blueVisions has a proven track record establishing Program Management Offices in the Rail, Telecommunications, Municipalities, government agencies, transport agencies, mining sector, manufacturing and others.
With our Capability Development arm, Institute of Management, we are accredited to deliver the following programs:
- Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O®)
The Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices (P3O®) builds on the references in PRINCE2®, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP®), and Management of Risk (M_o_R®) and Management of Portfolios (MoP®) to provide a single information source for organisations or individuals wishing to set up or maintain an effective delivery support office.
The Portfolio, Programme, and Project Management Maturity Model (P3M3) provides a framework for organisations to assess and benchmark their current performance and effectively develop improvement plans. P3M3 provides three maturity models that can be used separately to focus on specific areas of the business or more generally to help organisations assess the relationship between their portfolios, programmes and projects.
- Management of Portfolios (MoP)
At the heart of any portfolio management approach is the need to identify the right programmes and projects to deliver an organisation’s strategy, and ensure that targeted benefits are achieved. MoP describes the principles and best practices that will enable public and private sector organisations of all sizes to either introduce or re-energise portfolio management approaches.
- Change Management
The Change Management program is designed to help organisations and their people manage the impact of change and provide techniques to effectively plan and implement successful transformation initiatives. Based on the Effective Change Manager’s Handbook – aligned to the Institute’s Change Management Body of Knowledge (CMBoK) – this offer explores how change affects and is affected by, individuals, teams, organisations and change leaders.
