North West Link (NRT)
Sydney Metro is Australia’s biggest public transport project. The Sydney Metro Northwest line, Stage 1 of Sydney Metro, opened to customers on 26 May 2019. The project includes eight new railway stations, 4,000 commuter car parking spaces and the upgrade and conversion of five existing Sydney railway stations to metro standards.
Northwest Rapid Transit (NRT) designed and delivered Sydney’s new generation metro trains; built the new stations and car parks; and installed tracks, signalling, mechanical and electrical systems. NRT is also upgraded and converted the railway between Epping to Chatswood to metro standards. NRT combines the experience of the world’s number one commercial mass transit operator with Australia’s most experienced railway contractors.
blueVisions’ project planning services managed the delivery of the design, procurement, construction and commissioning phases of the train depot facility, two of the above-ground stations, three of underground stations and the project-wide HV services.
The planning support services also extended through the commercial phase of the project by supporting the forensic team.
Despite the complexity of this project, it was delivered on time. Our committed, driven and technically-savvy team worked closely with the Project Engineers and Project Managers to articulate & provide guidance on program focus areas, identify program opportunities and ultimately assisting the project team in promptly delivering the project objectives and contract milestones
